It is with great sadness I have to announce that Stephen Fairbrother has passed away while travelling in Chile. It is understood that Steve contracted an illness while in Chile and sadly failed to recover.
Those who knew him will remember him as Fairy, Brass or the Big Man. Dallington players joking refer to themselves as Dally Legends but in Steve’s case he was seriously a true legend and a hero to many. Putting absolute full commitment to everything he did in life, his personality shone through and touched so many people. Everyone at the club held Steve in the highest regard and he was a friend to all, enemy to none. He will be sorely sorely missed.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Steve and his family at this difficult time.
Steve, take care up there big man, always remembered never ever forgotten.
