As part of the continual improvement of Dallington Rovers F.C. during pre-season 2007-2008 the club will be applying for the F.A. Charter Standard Club award. This means introducing rules and regulations and a code of conduct within the club to demonstrate it is well managed both on and off the field. This is a huge step forward for the club in what has been a successful two years so far in raising the profile of the club to become one of the most well known Sunday clubs in the town.
The FA Charter Standard Scheme is a best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League. As a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all.
The FA Charter Standard Clubs programme, supported by FA Community Partner McDonald's, was launched in February 2001 and is a core component of The FA Football Development programme
The project is aimed at clubs, schools, colleges, universities and players find a football club in their local area that meets FA standards.
