How The Colts Began

Dosthill Colts came into existence in 1990 when a group of parents and youngsters started having a regular kick around on a field. As time went on, it was decided to enter the Tamworth Junior League and thus the club was formed by Gary Onions and Steve Brownlees. The first managerial team was Dave Meakin and his assistant Steve Brownlees, with the club's first sponsor being R & G Tool Hire ( Roy Gardner).

Origin of the club's name:
The club held a contest whereby the youngsters entered their suggestions for the club's name, and the Committee chose what in their oppinion was the most fitting. Chris Onions won a pair of shin pads while Stephanie Brownlees won a book token, for being the successful children to name the club!
Graham Reed designed the first club crest.
First goal scorer:
Paul Ansell scored the first goal in a 1 - 1 draw against Hurley Kings.
