The Brine Town of Droitwich Spa has had various football teams for many years playing under different names. Droitwich St. Peters, Droitwich Sports, and now Droitwich Spa have all played their football in the Midland Combination, and previously in the Worcester Saturday League's. Droitwich Spa Football Club (then Droitwich St. Peter's) were promoted after a 4th placed finish in Division 3 in 2000. After promotion the club adopted the name of the town and became Droitwich Spa Football Club. The club earned a credible 7th placed finish the following season in Division 2. The Spa gained promotion after 7 seasons of playing in Division 2, and a 3rd placed finish meant Division 1 football in 2007/08. New dugouts were erected and some paving around the pitch along with our small covered stand ensured King George's was up to Division 1 standards. A runner's up medal and a solid 11th placed finish last year gives us something to build on this season , and beyond in the club's highest ever position in the football pyramid. We are currently awaiting planning permission for the club to refurbish a clubhouse next to the current dressing rooms which should be a big boost for the club and its future.
