With the team on the verge of folding and admiistration due to Craig Millingtons outstanding fine Chris Jenkinson and Rob Wood stepped up to the plate and took over from Pete and Paul Hollis.
2006-2007 Season (26/01/08)
A first season in management for Chris Jenkinson was rewarded with a 4th place finish. Highs included an opening 5-nil demolition of Tibshelf who were eventually crowned division 4 champions. Joe Kelsey and Ryan Holdsworth were named on SKy Sports Xtra as the Iron Curtain with Joe being 1 tenth and Ryan being 9 Tenths of the iron curtain. Town only conceded 24 goals all season. Ryan and Joe were rewarded with player of the season awards. Towards the end of the campaign a sneakiness crept into the town dressing room and eventually the team missed out on promotion by three points so they were just not sneaky enough.
