This season we introduced six new players all taken from last season’s under 14’s squad, so this was going to be a hard preseason to get the girls all playing together. So here we are at the end of our final season as a junior team, and this has been a year of up’s and downs, but as ever, we have had some fun along the way.
8th September DTFC 1 – 9 STEEL CITY WANDERERS Team- Emily-Natalie-Lauren-Rebecca H-Rebecca C-Maddy-Charlie-Hilary-Esme, Robyn- Jessica .Subs-Alicia-Tara. The season started with a home game against Steel City, who like us, are a team of mixed age players, the game started well although we conceded early on, Hilary pulled us level on 12 minutes with her first of the season, but after that, Steels were to fast and strong for us.
The lady of the match award went to Lauren for a fine performance in the heart of the defence.
22nd September DTFC 0- 4 EDLINGTON Team- Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Tara-Rebecca C-Maddy-Charlie- Hilary-Esme-Robyn-Jessica.Subs-Alicia-Rebecca H-Nikkie. Our second game of the season saw Edlington as the visitors, this was Lauren’s first game of the season in goals and we were soon under pressure from a strong team. Charlotte gave us another fine defensive performance along side Tara, but the team found life difficult against a very good Edlington side.
The lady of the match award was awarded to Charlotte for a strong defensive performance.
29th September THORNCLIFFE 5- 0 DTFC Team- Lauren-Natalie-Tara-Rebecca H-Alicia-Maddy-Charlie-Hilary-Rebecca C- Robyn-Jessica. Our first away game of the season saw the team travel to Thorncliffe and give the league leaders a good game. Playing down hill in the first half Town gave the home team some anxious moments, only to be undone towards the end of the half by three quick goals. In the second half we changed our formation with Hilary playing sweeper and Jessica playing alone up front and Thorncliffe found the team more difficult to break down, the tactic worked and Town were unlucky to concede two more goals.
The lady of the match award went to Rebecca H for a strong game in centre of defence.
6th October DTFC 0-1 ASTON Team-Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Tara-Maddy-Charlie-Hilary-Esme- Robyn-Jessica. Subs-Alicia-Nikkie. Aston visited Gosforth fields with the girls still looking for there first points of the season. The team started well giving Aston a tough game, the midfield battled for every ball; the defence was strong with Tara having a fine game. The centre forwards never let their defence settle, Lauren looked on course for a clean sheet, then Aston were awarded a penalty with three minutes to play, this was a harsh decision, the team complained but to no avail. The girls rallied and went flat out for the equaliser. Hilary went on a run only to be brought down just outside the area, Charlotte struck the free kick, it looked to have crossed the line but the referee was not well positioned and waved play on, this was a tough day for all the team, they had given everything only to be beaten right at the death.
Our lady of the match award went to Hilary for a superb midfield display.
13th October SOCRATES 4-4 DTFC Team- Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Tara-Robyn-Charlie-Maddy-Alicia- Hilary-Jessica. Subs-Nikkie-Rebecca C-Esme. Town started very well scoring on only three minutes, when Charlie swung a corner in from the right for Hilary to head home with power to give the keeper no chance, this was the perfect start after last weeks disappointment. Esme came on and scored with her first touch, at half time we found ourselves 3-2 down after conceding another penalty this one was a clearer cut with no complaints. In the second half Town carried on where they left off with Hilary scoring her second of the game on 59 to make it 3-3, this was game on for Town and they went looking for the winner and thought they had got it on 74 when Charlotte scored from another corner this looked like sealing it but there was still time for Socrates to score another.
The lady of the match award went to Lauren for another fine display of goalkeeping and pulling of a stunning save at the end to keep the scores level.
20th October DTFC1-1 ECKINGTON Team- Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Tara-Robyn-Charlie-Maddy-Esme- Hilary-Jessica.Subs-Alicia-Nikkie-Rebecca C. Buoyed by their performance at Socrates, Town went out looking for their first win of the season and played some of there best football of the season so far at half time the score was 0-0. In the second half Eckington scored the opening goal of the game which only made Town more determined and Hilary scored on 52 minutes and from then on only one team was likely to score the game finished 1-1 and Town were left still wondering were that first win would come from.
The lady of the match award went to Charlie for a good all-round performance in midfield.
10th November DTFC 1-1 SHEFFIELD FC Team- Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Tara-Rebecca C-Charlie-Maddy- Hilary-Nikke-Robyn. Subs- Jessica-Esme. This was the fixture we had been waiting for, Sheffield started well and put Town under a lot of early pressure but the team defended well and soon started playing some good football putting Sheffield on the back foot. Maddy played well holding the midfield while Nikkie had her best game of the season so far, Becky H was solid at the back along side Charlotte and the full backs, Tara and Natalie, kept Sheffield under control helped by Becky C.
HALF TIME 0-0
In the second half Town stepped up a gear and put the visitors under a lot of pressure and finally broke the dead lock on 59 minutes, when Charlie put a corner in from the right and Nikkie was on hand to fire home with her RIGHT FOOT. Lauren made some excellent saves to keep Sheffield at bay Hilary and Charlie had efforts and a good penalty appeal was turned down. Robyn and Jessica fought for every ball up front while Esme had a good game on the right. Sheffield equalised with a well taken free kick straight in to the top corner giving Lauren no chance. Well done Town a brilliant performance.
The lady of the match went to Maddy for a strong performance in midfield.
1st December DTFC 1-4 MIDDLEWOOD ROVERS Team- Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Tara-Rebecca C -Charlie-Maddy- Hilary-Nikkie-Jessica. Subs-Alicia-Robyn-Esme. Town went one down early in the game but fought back and it was a good strike that put the visitors 2-0 up, Town replied straight away with a fine goal by Jessica one on one with keeper Jess kept her cool to put Town back in the game. The girls pushed hard in the second half and were unfortunate to lose in the end. Lauren made some fine saves Hilary was her usual self and Maddy had another fine performance along with Rebecca C who had a fine game in midfield.
The lady of the award went to Jessica for a good performance playing alone up front.
8th December STEEL CITY 2-0 DTFC Team- Rebecca C -Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Tara-Alicia-Charlie-Maddy-Hilary- Nikkie-Jessica. Subs-Robyn-Esme. This game was played in poor conditions on a very heavy pitch. Town started well and put the steels on the back foot from the first minute with Hilary and Charlie taking control of the midfield only to be undone by a shot that was too good for Rebecca (c) playing her first ever game in goals. Town went in search of the equaliser but were stopped by a determined back four, Charlotte put three free kicks just wide and town were denied a penalty after a clear push in the box from the corner, a hand ball appeal was also turned down by the ref. Half time 2-0 Town emerged from the dressing room for the second half and put the home team under a lot of pressure Charlie hit the side netting, Jessica put the defenders under a lot of pressure with some good runs, Alicia was having a good game on the right, Hilary put a shot just wide, Maddy had a fine game holding midfield along with Tara at left back. Esme had a chance and Nikkie came back on and battled away up front. At the end both teams had given everything and were out on their feet. WELL DONE TO BOTH TEAMS ON A TERRIFIC GAME THAT WAS ENJOYED BY ALL WHO WATCHED.
The lady of the match award went to Rebecca for a brave game in goals.
22nd December EDLINGTON 2-0 DTFC Team- Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Tara-Robyn-Maddy-Alicia-Hilary- Charlie-Jessica. Subs-Esme-Rebecca C-Nikkie. Town started well against table topping Edlington with Becky H and Charlotte holding firm in defence, Lauren made some fine saves to keep the home side out. Hilary and Charlie battled hard to win the midfield battle, but Town were undone by a fine individual goal, Charlotte went close with a couple of free kicks, Hilary had a good shot saved and Jessica went close with the follow up shot. Alicia was causing the defenders problems on the left with some surging runs. In the second half again Town had the better of the game and were playing some of their best football of the season, and again Town put the home team under pressure and with a bit more luck would have scored with Charlie putting a good ball into the box and Robyn went close with a good effort, another fine shot beat Lauren to make the game safe for Edlington which left Town going home again with no points. Well done to all the team this was another fine performance and deserved at least a point.
The lady of the match award went to Alicia for a battling midfield performance.
5th January DTFC 0-4 THORNCLIFFE Team-Lauren-Natalie-Tara-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Rebecca C-Maddy-Alicia-Esme- Jessica-Robyn. On a windy morning Town captain Natalie decided to kick into the wind first and Thorncliffe took full advantage by taking a 3-0 lead by half time, but it was not all one way and Town had chances and were unlucky not to score before the break. In the second half Town came out and put Thorncliffe on the back foot, Robyn had a good shot well saved then Jessica went close, Town were pushing hard and Esme fired just wide then Charlotte now playing in midfield went close with a shot that went just wide. With Town pushing forward Thorncliffe broke away to score and make the game safe, even then Charlotte brought a fantastic save from their keeper it had goal written all over it but the keeper some how got a hand on it to push it round the post.
The lady of the match award went to Robyn for a fine second half performance.
12th January ASTON 0-1 DTFC Team-Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Rebecca C-Alicia-Hilary-Maddy-Esme-Robyn- Jessica. Subs-Tara-Charlie. Town travelled to Aston in high spirits looking to avenge a 1-0 defeat earlier in the season. Town started on the front foot and soon put Aston under pressure winning the ball in midfield and using it well to break down the Aston defence. Then on 14 minutes Town broke the deadlock when a ball from the right found its way through to Esme who had the simple task of putting the ball in to the net to score her second goal of the season. Maddy had another fine game in midfield along side Hilary, with Alicia on the right having another fine game. The defence led by captain for the day Charlotte stood firm Becky H was as strong as ever with Becky C restored to left back to give an assured performance, while Natalie at right back never gave her attacker a look in. Lauren kept her first clean sheet of the season and never looked under pressure. Robyn and Jessica never let the defenders have a minute’s peace they even had to mark Jess to stop her putting pressure on the keeper. What a performance from all the team who never looked liked losing the lead and possibly should have won by more, Charlotte and Hilary both had efforts that on another day would have been certain goals. Charlie and Tara were the subs for the day and both came on to do a fantastic job in keeping the game as tight as possible.
WELL DONE GIRLS THAT WAS FANTASTIC.
The lady of the match award went to Esme for a fine goal and performance.
26th January DTFC 3-3 SOCRATES Team- Rebecca C-Alicia-Tara-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Maddy-Hilary-Charlie-Esme- Jessica-Robyn. Sub-Natalie. This was a classic game of two halves, Town dominated the first half with Charlotte opening the scoring on 5 minutes, with a goal straight from the corner, this was quickly followed by Jessica reacting quickly to score our second on 8 minutes. Town pushed hard and the third came on 36 minutes when Esme put away a fine goal. In the second half Socrates playing with the wind came back into the game scoring two well taken goals with an unlucky goal in between. Town had one last chance in the final minutes when Robyn went through one on one with the keeper and pulled her shot just wide.
The lady of the match award was awarded to Hilary for another fine performance in midfield.
9th February DTFC 2-1 BRUNSMEER Team- Rebecca C-Natalie-Tara-Rebecca H-Charlotte-Maddy- Alicia-Hilary-Jessica- Robyn-Esme. Town started well putting Brunsmeer under early pressure with some good passing only to be denied by the visiting keeper. Then against the run of play, Brunsmeer took the lead with a fine shot that went in off the post leaving Rebecca C stranded, the girls picked themselves up and went straight back at the visitors. Hilary won Town a penalty when she was brought down in the box, Charlotte stepped up to take, but as she went to kick the ball she slipped and sent the ball wide of the post, this only made Town more determined and they were soon on level terms when Hilary picked up a pass from Maddy and ran through this time to slot the ball in the corner (22). This game was now in Dronfield’s control with Natalie and Becky H playing with strength and determination, Tara kept the left side secure with some thoughtful play.
Half time 1-1
After the break Town went straight back at Brunsmeer and soon forced a corner on the right Charlotte delivered the perfect ball and Esme ran in to volley past the keeper for her third of the season (44). Town were now in full control of the game and could have scored more with Jessica and Robyn going close with fine efforts. Maddy played the anchor role in midfield with passion and strength, Alicia gave the team width on the right and they never looked like conceding only going on to score more. This was a good performance form all of the team against another team above us in the league well done girls.
The lady of the match went to Maddy for another excellent performance in midfield.
16th February SHEFFIELD 1-0 DTFC Team- Lauren-Natalie-Charlotte-Rebecca H-Rebecca C-Maddy-Alicia-Charlie- Jessica-Robyn-Esme. Sub- Tara. In a tight game Town lost out to a lucky goal in the second half. The girls started where they left off against Brunsmeer, full of spirit and passion and it was not long before Charlie had the first chance of the game, when she pulled a shot just wide of the post, this was quickly followed by a free kick from Charlotte that went just wide, Tara came on to hold midfield along side Maddy to help keep it tight, at half time there was nothing between the teams and Town continued to play with belief and purpose, then Sheffield got lucky, Lauren came out for a ball and kicked it against their player only to see the ball bounce in to the net, this was a cruel blow to the team but they kept on going until the end and with a bit more luck could have snatched the equaliser they deserved. The whole defence stood out for Town with Rebecca C and Natalie having great games as did Charlie and Alicia in midfield.
The lady of the match award went to Rebecca for fine performance at left back.
1st March DTFC 4-0 LANGOLD Team-Lauren- Natalie- Tara- Charlotte- Rebecca H- Maddy- Charlie- Hilary- Jess-Robyn- Esme. Subs-Rebecca C-Alicia. Town dominated this game from the start against a spirited Langold team, playing against the wind Town played some neat football with Hilary, Charlie and Natalie all linking up well on the right. Robyn opened the scoring on 15 minute’s with a well taken shot that gave the keeper no chance, Town continued to pen the visitors in their own half. Esme went close with a terrific shot that went just wide, Charlie put a good cross in that Robyn met and put just over the bar. Charlie put in a great shot that was destined for the top corner only to see the keeper make a good save.
Halftime 1-0
In the second half Town continued to pile on the pressure, Charlotte pushed in to midfield and went close with a number of efforts and the keeper came out to make another great save to deny Charlotte, just as we thought we would never score, Jessica latched on to a ball in the area to put the game safe (68), five minutes later Jess struck again to get her second of the day (73) this was quickly followed by her third (75) and the game was over. This was a good performance from the girls in difficult conditions and they did well to keep the ball down.
The lady of the match was awarded to Natalie for another excellent performance at right back.
15th March BRUNSMEER 1-0 DTFC Team-Lauren- Natalie- Rebecca H- Charlotte- Rebecca C- Hilary- Alicia- Charlie- Esme- Robyn- Jessica- Sub-Tara. Town arrived at Brunsmeer in a confident mood and looking for there first double of the season. The girls started well with Jess going close on a number of occasions, Charlie also went close with some fine runs that the Brunsmeer defence managed to beat away. Then the home side got lucky with a hopeful ball forward that Lauren could not hold and Town where one down , the team responded well with some thoughtful passing moves and when Alicia broke into the box she was pushed and the ref awarded the penalty. Charlotte stepped up and hit a thunderous shot against the post and out past the on rushing players. Esme was having a fine game in midfield playing some lovely passes through for Jessica and Robyn to run on to but the keeper was in top form and kept the score at 1-0 at half time.
The second half started with Town still in confident mood that they could win this game, Jessica and Robyn went close with fine efforts but Brunsmeer stood firm, then Jessica was through one on one with the keeper and was brought down just outside the penalty area, after treatment, Jessica picked herself up to carry on, the resulting free kick went just over the bar. In the next attack Jessica finally put the ball in the net only for it to be ruled offside. This was not going to be our day we then had a run of corners but we could not find the net. At the final whistle the team had given everything and could not believe that they had lost as this was probably their best performance of the season.
The lady of the match award went to Jessica for a display full of passion and commitment.
29th March LANGOLD 1-2 DTFC Team-Lauren- Natalie- Rebecca H- Tara- Maddy- Alicia- Hillary- Rebecca C- Charlotte- Jessica- Robyn. Subs - Charlie- Esme. We arrived at Langold on a sunny Saturday morning only to find a confident Langold team looking for there second victory of the season. Town started slowly and were put on the back foot by a lively home team. Lauren made two fine saves early on then we gifted Langold a goal, Lauren well saved the first shot but the defence could not scramble the ball clear and Langold scored. This should have woke the girls up but we struggled to find our passes until Rebecca C was set free on the left and when she pushed the ball into the area she was tripped and the ref pointed to the spot a lifeline was thrown. Rebecca H stepped up and coolly put the ball into the top corner only for the ref to make her take it again because of encroachment by one of our players, Rebecca H put the ball down again and this time the keeper made a good save. The girls battled through to half time still losing 1-0.
In the second half town started to put the home side on the back foot, but could not find away through the defence, the equaliser came on 58 minutes when Robyn snatched a goal from a corner. Town then went looking for the winner which eventually came on 72 minutes and again Robyn was on hand to put a clearance in to the net and town now looked more comfortable although it was not easy and when the ref blew the whistle a relived town had snatched all three points.
The lady of the match went to Tara for a committed performance at left back.
2nd April ECKINGTON BELLES 0 – 1 DTFC Team- Lauren- Natalie- Charlotte- Tara- Rebecca C- Maddy- Charlie- Hilary- Esme- Robyn- Jessica. Subs- Alicia-Rebecca H. This is it our final game of the season and the team was determined to finish on a high note, kicking up hill Town played some excellent football with Hilary playing some lovely through balls for Charlie to run on to. The defence stood firm against a strong Eckington attack, with Natalie having another fine game at right back. Jessica linked up well with Hilary and Charlie to open up the defence which led to a good save from the keeper, Town kept on playing the football and Esme went on a good run down the left and shot just wide. Jessica and Robyn were playing well and both went close with fine efforts as half time approached Town were well on top Charlie again went close with another fine effort and town finished the half on top.
Half time 0-0
The second half started with Town now kicking down hill, Jessica went close again then Robyn ran threw to open the scoring on 58 minutes. Town were now playing with purpose and they where causing Eckington lots of problems, Hilary made some surging runs only to be denied by the keeper. Lauren came out to collect a high ball from a Eckington free kick and that was there last chance of the game. Robyn and Alicia both went close in the dying minutes, the ref found some injury time and one last free kick, Hilary won the ball and broke away, only for the ref to blow the final whistle and Town had finished in there highest position since going eleven a side.
The lady of the match award went to Lauren for another clean sheet.
So the season has come to an end, and what a season it has been, as expected it took time for the girls to bond into a team, but once they had, we became a very solid unit and the opposition found us difficult to play against. We have once again improved over the course of the season and every player has played a major part in the team’s success, yes I mean success because to finish the season with only three defeats since the turn of the year and all of them in close games, this is a mark of how far they have all progressed. Well done to each and every one of you for playing with the right attitude and commitment all season, you have done yourselves and the club proud. I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few people for there help this season with out these people the team and club would not be where they are today. Firstly our sponsor DRONFIELD NURSERY for our shirt sponsorship over the last two seasons this is greatly appreciated by the club and I would also like to thank Sue Lund for offering to extend this by another two seasons, it is fantastic that local businesses are supporting the team and club in these exciting times. My next thank you goes to the parents for giving up their time to support the team on a Saturday morning along with their help with putting up and taking down the nets for every home game. A special mention must go to Carl for running the line at almost every fixture this season and to Steve for stepping in when Carl was not available, this is appreciated by all the team. A thank you must also go to Linzi and Ron for all their help this season. Linzi has taken on the task of the warm down on match days along with the responsibility for first aid and by standing behind our goal she has given the team support when needed. Ron has been in charge of the warm up on match days and has come up with some interesting routines for the girls and his input at the training sessions have been invaluable, most of you know that Ron has decided to retire from the team at the end of the season and we will all miss him. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for the last four years work with the team and to wish him good luck with his coaching for the future. My final thank you goes to all the team for there hard work and commitment this season well done to all of you, if you did not win an award remember the girls who have still need you because football is a team game and you all deserve credit for your own personal achievements. Enjoy the break and good luck for those of you who are taking your GCSE’s this summer.
Thanks Kevin
Presentation Night Awards 2007/08
THE LADY OF THE MATCH AWARD Lauren Broadhead
This season’s lady of the match award was again a close run contest with the decision not being decided until the final game of the season. This season’s winner has played 16 games keeping three clean sheets and making some important saves at key times. Lauren is a much admired player around the league with other managers commenting on her performances. Well done Lauren yet another fantastic season.
THE MOST IMPROVED PLAYER Rebecca Camsell
This season this award has been given to a player who consistently has improved over the course of the season. Rebecca has shown that she has the passion and spirit for the game as well as a desire to succeed no matter what position she has played. Her reading of the game has been good and she has trained hard and when asked she has put on the gloves and performed in goals and was unlucky not to keep a clean sheet at home to Brunsmeer. Well done Rebecca you have worked hard this season and you deserve the rewards it brings.
THE DRONFIELD NURSERY TEAM PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Rebecca Hancock
This award goes to a player who nearly walked away from the game last summer. Rebecca has proved to a good solid defender who reads the game well and has a no-nonsense approach but when given the opportunity know’s how to pick a pass and find her player. Rebecca has played a major part in the teams consistent run in the second half of the season showing commitment, attitude and a passion for the game. Well played Rebecca you have had a great season keep it up.
THE ATTITUDE AWARD
Esme Mcvay
The attitude award this season goes to a player who has trained hard and played with desire and commitment. Esme has a desire to succeed in the game, with an eye for a goal and a good left foot; she’s been influential in midfield with her running and passing. Esme’s finest moment of the season came at Aston where she scored our winning goal for our first victory of the season. Well done Esme keep up the hard work and you will reap the rewards.
THE GOLDEN BOOT AWARD Hilary Rees & Jessica Warwick
This season the award has been contested by four players and was keenly contested by all of them. The winners where Hilary and Jessica who both finished with five goals a piece. Hilary opened her account on the first day of the season with a well taken goal against Steel City, Hilary then took her tally to three in the game at Socrates with Jessica still to open her account this looked like a one horse race and when Hilary scored in our next fixture against Eckington her tally rose to four. Then Jessica opened her account in the cup game with a fine solo effort and the race was on again. When Esme notched our winner at Aston this became a three way battle with her tally at two. Esme and Jessica both scored in our 3-3 draw against Socrates And Hilary was under pressure, Hilary and Esme both scored in our victory against Brunsmeer and it was Jessica who was suddenly looking out of the race, her response was to score a hat trick against Langold along with Robyn who got her first of the season. Robyn had now found her scoring boots by getting two at the away fixture with Langold; she had put herself in the frame. We went to our last fixture with four players chasing the golden boot, this was going to be an exciting night and when Robyn scored she really fancied her chances of catching Hilary and Jessica, with Esme pushing them as well this was a good fight to the end.
Well done to both Hilary and Jessica you both scored some brilliant goals and have deserved to share the award.
THE MANAGERS PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD
THIRD PLACE: - Alicia Cole
Alicia has had a good season and has improved her game along the way. Playing most of the season on the right hand side of midfield, her attitude and commitment has been good. Alicia has never pulled away from a tackle and has been unlucky not to get a goal. Well played Alicia keep up the hard work.
SECOND PLACE: - Natalie Bradwell
Natalie has been a consistent performer all season and has played an important role in our defence. Playing at right back she has shown great character and commitment and has always given everything for the team showing determination and strength when needed most. Well played Natalie you have had a brilliant season.
THE MANAGERS PLAYER OF THE SEASON
Maddy Wood
Maddy has played an important role in the team this season taking over our holding midfield position which she has done with great authority and maturity. Maddy has never been afraid to give out the orders and point the finger when she has wanted somebody to mark or move into a position and has been quick to praise other members of the team when they have needed it. Maddy is one of our younger squad members, so to fill this role against players older and stronger than her is a good achievement, she has been consistent all season and deserves this award for showing a strong character and determination against some very strong players. Her reading of the game has improved as the season has gone on and her ability to find her team members with a good pass has been a feature of her game that has shown great vision.
Well done Maddy you have deserved this award for your passion for the game and willingness to learn, well played and good luck for next season.
THE PLAYERS PLAYER AWARD 2007/2008
CHARLOTTE DICK
This seasons winner has once again been a consistent performer in the centre of defence, her positional sense has been good all season, her ability to clear her lines and bring the defence out has been a strong feature of her game along with her long throws and corner kicks where she has posed threat in the attacking third.
This season Charlottes goal tally is two, which is not a true reflection on her number of strikes on goal and the number of free kicks that have sailed just wide or over has been astonishing, on another season Charlotte would have been in double figures.
My favourite moment of the season was when she scored direct from a corner against Socrates, the smile on her face was as big as the goal what moment for us all to saviour.
Charlotte has always trained hard and played hard and always plays the game to the best of her ability.
Well done Charlotte you have deserved the recognition of your team mates and this is a great way to end another fine season congratulations’.
