ST AUSTELL CARNIVAL
17 Sep 2009

St Austell will be holding a carnival procesion in the evening of the 21st Novemer. For the 1st time in 15 years.

The Duke of Cornwall AFC will be entering a walking entry into the carnival, the theme being 'Down on the Farm'. Costumes will include- Farmers, farmer's wives, scarecrows and milkmaids. Our entry will be led by a car playing some good old country music from the Worzells.

The procesion will start at John Keay House, judging at 17.15 and the procession leaving at 18.00 and progress through the streets of the town and finish at the old Restormel Council Offices where there will be a couple of bars and also a free night of music from some local bands, all in association with Rdaio St Austell Bay.

I hope to see as many of the Dukes as possible turn up for this evening of fun and entertainment as I believe it will also be a good team building event.

Look forward to seeing you all in your costumes on the night.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED.
06 Aug 2009

With the new season only a matter of weeks away, the Duke of Cornwall AFC are looking for more volunteers to help run the club/team.

At present we are looking for a physio/first aider to assist with the well-being of all of the Duke players. Giving up a couple of hours on a Saturday afternnon is all we ask.
Someone who enjoys and enjoys being involved with fooball would be ideally suited to this roll.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are also looking to improve the backroom staff within the club.
We are presently without a Chairman. This is a pivotal roll within the club and can be time consuming, mainly holding meetings with the manager and helping bring the club on through the Saturday League. This roll would be suited to someone who has an interest and time to be deeply involved with the running of the club, on and off of the pitch.

If you or you know anyone who could help with these positions, please get in contact using the 'Contact Club' link on the left of the page.
