This was the team building season, and to be frank that was all it was. Being the rookies in this already well established league was quite daunting. The players had high expectations but reality soon kicked in after a 6-0 drubbing by Blue Anchor in our first game. Credit where credit due, after a start like that you'd expect half of the team to leave but most stayed to carry on for the season.The bad start continued our next result 11-0, but again the lads worked hard not only to get their first win but all they wanted was a goal. It came in our 3rd game against RAF St Mawgan. The team went mad, you would have thought they'd won the FA Cup.However,we did lose that game 5-1. We scored again in our next game away to St Breward, although lost 7-1. It wasn't until our 6th, game at home to Trevarrian, where we finally got what we had all been waiting for our first win. The result 4-2,it was a great feeling for eveyone, they had worked so hard over the fist few weeks, not giving up, holding their heads up high and showing everybody watching that maybe we could have a good team coming through. The season was very tough and in the end we finished a lowly 2nd from bottom but we did have some good games and wins under our belts to help bolster our moods and expectations for next season. We had the added bonus of hearing that the RCIL Sunday league would be split into 2 divisions, this brought more encouragement, giving us a belief, that maybe we could have a chance of a top 2 finish next season. Bring on 2006/07
