Dumbarton United under 14's were invited to play in the dunoon tournament on Saturday. They played 5 games including the final and returned home undefeated and only lost 1 goal in all their matches. united played fantastic football the whole day and deserved their success. The teams they played were all from the Paisley and District Leagues so this gives them a hint on the level of performance needed when we eventually start the season in the same league. United met ST Andrews from Greenock (P&D 3rd Div Champions) in the final. They only managed to get out of their own half twice in the game, united created chance after chance but could not score and eventually it went to penalties. united won on sudden death.
