Good performance from us today even with a depleted squad - boys who turned up to play done us proud. A brace each from Michal and Stephen and a clinical free kick from Zander were enough to put us beyond Whitburn who played with great spirit throughout. It was a hard fought match plenty of fouls and good tackling from both sides but not a particularly dirty match at all. Kieran again done brilliantly in goals with one slip in concentration costing us a goal but overall another accomplished performance from our keeper. Whitburn were awarded a penalty for their second goal which was a bit harsh on Stephen who had made a good tackle winning the ball outside the box but Ref gave a pen so just need to take the decision.
