The season is upon up already and we couldn't have had a tougher opening game than NCASS.

Meet at 9.30 so we can get the nets up and get fully prepared. We always look a better side when we get there early and spend time warming up properly.

We should have 14 players available due to various unavailabilities and injuries.

Home to Foss on sunday. Meet at 9.30 again please so we can get prepared without rushing around.

There were no hammerings in week 1's results so that says to me that this league will be very tight all season. With that in mind we need to start picking up points starting sunday.

We know Foss are a decent side, we played them 3 times last season winning 1, drawing 1(won on pens) and losing 1, so should expect the same sort of challenge.

If we put the same effort in as we did on sunday then we won't be far away.

Next Game at home to Butlers.

Meet 9.30 prompt please to give us plenty of time to get prepared. The table doesn't lie. We are bottome having lost the last 3 games and Butlers are unbeaten and 3rd.

I'm not understating things when I say this is arguably the most important game of our albeit short existance! This game will decide where the season will go. If we lose, we ain't going up! And its going to be the same situation for a good few weeks yet.

We spoke several times about the need for a better start to the season(remember we only won 1 out of our 1st 4 games last season) but it didn't happen.

So we've again got ourselves into a bit of a mess. Last season we responded brilliantly by winning the following 14 games on the bounce and clinching the title by 6 points. We need a similar response this season.

Last season we beat the 3 teams we've already lost to this season. Last season we put our finest performance in in our away game at Killie(how it was only 1-0 and not 10-0 is a mystery to me!). We need to show the form we are capable of. The season starts now.

WE MUST WIN ON SUNDAY!!!!!

Away to Fusilier in the cup.

Fusilier play at St Mary's School on Benfield Road, just along from DSS at Longbenton. They are from the Division above but other than that have no idea how good or bad they are.

It doesn't matter! As always, its down to us. If we turn up in the right frame of mind we'll do well. If not we'll lose. I know which frame of mind I'll be in on sunday and trust you'll all be the same.

Meet 10AM prompt so we can get changed and warmed up in good time.

Another MUST WIN GAME!!!

No excuses. We've played well enough to win the last 2 games but haven't won any. I'd settle for not deserving it this week, but we must win!

I know they will be well up for it as they've had almost as bad a start as us. Therefore we must want it more than they do or we'll end up pointless again!

Jay/Bear will be picking the team in my absence.
