Diminutive striker Gavin is in his third spell at Low Farm. Joined us originally from Withernsea in the summer of 1999 having impressed against us in a pre-season friendly. Made his debut as a sub against Walkington on 25 September before scoring on his full debut in the win at Bridlington Sports Club a week later. Went on to score 19 goals in 32 league and cup games that first season. By the end of the 2000/01 campaign his tally stood at an impressive 35 goals in 71 games, with 13 goals in the HPL. Two more productive seasons followed with Mike Wilson's retirement campaign seeing Gav stretch his totals to 73 goals in 149 games (54 in 126 at First Team level). Limited opportunities in the 2003/04 season saw him depart for Patrington, having taken his tally to 85 goals in 170apps. Returned to the fold in 2005/06 but went back to home club Patrington early the following season having clocked up 102 goals in 203apps. Thankfully, this natural predator was tempted back to Low Farm again during the summer and finished the season with a respectable 11 goals in 29 appearances.
By the end of 2011/12 Gavin had clocked up 300 First Team appearances, scoring 114 goals in the process. He decided to move into management at the start of the 2012/13 season, taking up the reins at the Reserves but was also asked to sign a CML form...just in case!
