The Eastenders Reserves go to Wawne United this evening in search of a place in the quarter-finals of the ER County League President’s Trophy, the H. E. Dean Cup (6.15pm).
Caretaker boss Daniel Campbell (pictured) will be on hand to oversee his first tie in the competition and his squad shows a few changes from that which got past Roos last week.
Ben Akam deputises in goal for the absent Liam Pattison, while Paul Wilkinson’s absence due to injury means a likely run up top for Gavin Thurkettle who, along with Chris Frost, missed Monday’s CML game at Kiveton Park.
The three subs against Roos - Medforth, McLaughlin and asst-boss Foster - whose introduction helped swing things the Stiffs’ way, all look likely to start, with Brown, Hope and Price dropping down to join Everitt on the bench
Wawne ended the Eastenders’ defence of the trophy at the quarter-final stage last year but the locals have enjoyed the better of things in this season’s two league meetings.
The game takes place on Noddle Hill Way with a home tie against Long Riston Reserves next Thursday the reward for the winners.
Reserves (probable): B Akam, C Blanchard, L Green, N Rutter, C Foster, S Campbell, C Frost, D Medforth, T McLaughlin, G Thurkettle, K Fitzgerald; P Brown, J Price, J Hope, T Everitt
