Holderness Gazette 19th January - Club Notes 19 Jan, 2012

In the second of three successive games against teams with title aspirations, the First Team travel to Clay Cross to meet Parkhouse in the CML North (2pm).  Manager Mack will obviously be without Mike Nicholson but Luke Taylor could come into the reckoning following his return from holiday.

The Reserves could really do to return to winning ways when they entertain Reckitts Reserves at Low Farm (2pm).  Paul Wilkinson and Chris Blanchard remain doubtful but Manager Medforth will hope James Dawson, Shane Keyworth and Josh Price are all available.

Victory over bottom club Eastrington Village Reserves on Saturday could clinch the Division 5 championship for the Casuals – but only if Shiptonthorpe Utd Reserves fail to win at third-placed Brandesburton Academy.  Ben Akam’s possible return to the squad could be the only change.

A special thank you goes to Brian Appleyard for his help with Nicho; much appreciated.

Thanks also go to everybody who supported and/or attended last Saturday’s Coffee Morning.  £211.20 was raised for club funds; and our thanks to Red Hot Vending for last week’s CML match sponsorship.

A final reminder for those of you still to join the re-vamped Eastenders 100 Club: the first draw is scheduled to take place this Saturday (21st) so your membership fees are required ASAP!

Details of all sponsorship opportunities at the club can be obtained by ringing 01964 650133 or by emailing cttee@easington-united.co.uk.
