East Leake football has had many teams in the past and are currently running two teams in the North Leicesershire Football League, East Leake Athletic FC first team and East Leake Athletic Reserves both teams are enjoying support from Chairman Martyn Kelk of Premier Electrical Services Limited and Johnny and Penny at the Nags Head Pub. Both teams have enjoyed success in recent years winning the Chairman's Trophy in 2005/06 then reaching the Automedia Printers Cobbin Trophy Final in 2010 before lifting the Shedland.co.uk Division One Championship in 2011. Costock Road is where all home games are played. The facilities and pitch have both steadily improved with a lot of help from East Leake playing committee and all players new and old.
Hopefully joining arms with the juniors at East Leake Bantams and starting the long application for charter-ship will ensure a bright and attractive football future for the Village.
