Today was an epci game in which the players, coaches and parents were put through all kinds of emotions. With lots of players playing circket in the morning some players looked sluggish during the first half. The team failed to pass the ball and nearyl every player was simply too slow to compete with the opposition. Stafford Panthers raced into a 3-0 lead as Eccleshall seemed intent on putting an end to their good run of form since the turn of the new year. The introduction of Kasper Kosamty seemed to halt this and he grabbed a well taken goal just before half time.

Despite being poor in the first half Eccleshall still created a number of chances with Matt jackman, Ben Biddulph and Phil Chandler all going close with efforts so Eccleshall were very much in the game although being 3-1 down.

early in the second half the game looked all but over as a panthers player latched onto a crossfield ball and placed a shot passed Joe Thompson. It was not to be as Eccleshall responded with a flurry of goals courtesy of some excellent finishing from Kasper Kosmaty and a worldy free kick from Iwan Bebb. It was a great response from team that looked like they had never played before during the first half. Although the football wasnt pretty Eccleshall worked really hard to get back into the game and to come back from 4-1 down is a great achievement.
