ITS GOALS GALORE AGAINST THE POTTERS

Where to start?

We started the game with the bare 11 and were missing Ben, Will, Lewis, Ed and Frank. It didn't show as the lads were into their stride from the off.

Biddulph were playing a high defensive line and when you have the skill and guile of Connor, Matty and Ethan timing through balls to perfection it was a field day for the forwards!

First Jack broke clear and opened the scoring with a great chip over the keeper who came rushing out to meet him. Rego then got in on the action when a fantastic one touch passing move that started with Arron at the back and involved Matty who relased Louis who squared for Jake to find the goal. Barca eat you heart out! A goal of great quality.

Louis was then in on the action with a well taken finish and Jack made it four with only 10 minutes on the clock. Jack completed his hatrick soon after and Rego added again.

It was wave after wave of AC pressure and with Jack scoring his 4th and Rego completed his hatrick.

Halftime 8-0

The lads started the second half slowly and a lapse in concentration saw the Biddulph forward break free as he bared down on goal a last gasp sliding tackle from Connor looked to have saved the day but the ball rebounded off Ollie who had come out to challenge and fell kindly for the forward who popped it into the empty net.

It was the wake up call they needed as normal service was resumed with Jake notching 2 more goals and Jack also added again to take both their tally's to five. Alex Middleton put the finishing touch on a great midfield display by scoring a great left foot finish and Zan's hard work was rewarded with a nice chipped finish.

Ethan got in on the action when he ghosted in at the far post to slide the ball home and Louis completed his hatrick with two well taken finishes.

It was a really fantastic team performance with Matty having an excellent game pulling the strings in the middle. Arron, Connor and Daniel all had great games at the back and all looked confident and comfortable on the ball as time and time again we played out from the back. 

The forwards were outstanding with thier finishing with Jake and Louis always having their heads up but the man of the match goes to Jack who as well as scoring 5 put in a first class all round display with strength, speed, desire and composure. Well done Jack!
