OMG !!! Not the friendliest of friendlies - Played over 3 x 25 minutes on the 3G surface at Ballerup, this fixture saw us take a challenge in playing a team a year older in Villa Park 97s from the Motherwell area.

To be honest, and without being unfair the end result of 5-3 in our favour, I believe, totally flattered our opponents, who were played off the park in this encounter.

Some of our passing was very impressive, with everyone getting a fair crack in the match. Although we went 1 down after a silly delay in clearing the ball, we responded superbly and beat our opponents with football played on the deck. Goals from Paul, Grant M, Greg, and Sam saw us ascend to a deserved 4-1 lead and in total control with some breathtaking decisive movement and finishing. With 5 minutes to go though we hit the self destruct button a little with Villa scoring twice in a minute following 2 fresh air clearance attempts, firstly in our goal and then straight away on right defence. Nonetheless, we went straight up the park to relieve the pressure with a final goal from Jay, 5-3.

Don-t want to dwell too much on the antics of our opponents who quite frankly lost the plot and resulted to verbal and physical abuse as their frustrations grew in being outplayed by the younger and more football capable Edenvale boys. The ref don-t superb in dealing with these situations, asking boys to be subbed straight away after too much verbals and also recklessness.

A great result and a very enjoyable match to watch, but still with room for improvement in terms of mistake removal, fitness and sharpness. Well done lads.
