How it began |
The club was formed in march 2005. This was after years of harassment from the managers close friends and family to start a team.
We had our 1st team meeting at westbourne hall n9 and decided on a team name and who we knew wanted to play. It was then that we named the team and arranged a friendly against our very good friends Enfield Monarchs.
The basis of the team was close friends and family and friends of friends etc. We played at Enfield plying fields and enjoyed a good result as we won 11-1. Not a bad result and maybe a sign of things to come. The Original line up for that game was C.Marshall, M.Sealy, G.Barker, J.Ffolkes, G.Grey, P.Abbott, J.McAra, D.Spinks, T.Gupta, D.Fenton, N.McKeller, C.Abbott, C.Karolis.
We made a great start to our first season beating some good sides and doing well in both cups and league. However like many new teams we suffered alot of teething problems and failed to win any trophies. To be continued...........
