Report

Elmore’s final game of the season was a bit of a struggle in a match that they had to win to stay in the Premier Division. This was another lacklustre performance but they still had enough to beat bottom of the league Keynsham.

It was the home side though who dominated the early part of the game but without really threatening Scott Hosea’s goal. As the half wore on Elmore began to get more in to the game as Cam Kelly, Jordan Hewitt and Jordan Taylor started to take control of the midfield. It was a ball on 20 minutes from Cam Kelly over the top of a static Keynsham back line for his namesake Tom to shoot past a stranded home keeper which opened the scoring.

The second half was similar to the first with Keynsham having large parts of the possession but with no real end product thanks to the Elmore defence and in particular Jay Leman and Joe Wren. Elmore’s attack’s whilst not as frequent as the home sides were more dangerous. In the 80th minute substitute Sam Butler’s shot following good work from Cam Kelly hit the cross bar.

Elmore’s second of the night came with 5 minutes of the game remaining and was scored by Cam Kelly finishing from close range Jordan Taylor’s low cross.

This result means that Elmore are safe for another year in the top division.
