Today was our last game of the season against Euro Dag annd we were hopiing to end with a win and be the only team to beat them this season. We had 10 players available with Louie ill.
The first half got underway and like our last match against them Euro Dag started strongly.
We were having to defend and try to stem their attacks forward for the first five minutes.
We settled into the game and played some impressive football ourselves but we just lacked that final shot at goal. Euro Dag had a couple of chances but could not hit the target. Tony came on upfront to replace Reece and the football continued end to end untill half time and the score remained 0-0.
The second half got underway. Reece came back on upfront for Tony. Euro Dag came out and looked determined to get their win. We continued to try and defend for our lives. But they found room on our left side and scored their opening goal. Alex came on for Edward on the left of midfield. Within minutes Euro Dag scored their second of the game after penetrating the left hand side again. Luke replaced Jack on the right of midfield. Euro Dag who were now running the game scored their 3rd. Tony came on to go on the right of midfield and luke moved to the left of defense to replace Max. Euro Dag still flying scored their 4th and continued to press for more with Isaac making some fine saves. We were given a free kick minutes from full time after a handball and Josh stepped up to take a great free kick with the keeper equal to it with a great save. The final whistle went and we lost 4-0 as we did earlier in the season.
Well boys we knew this one was not going to be easy but you all played your hearts out today. Ronnie in the center of midfield and Josh at the back had a really good game today. We have finished third in the league as we did last season and had a good cup run too.
