This was an enjoyable game for both players and spectators played in conditions ranging from bright sunshine to hailstones !
Although Upminster Raiders are a relatively new team they gave a good account of themselves. They were very competitive throughout the match and we wish them well for the future.
EMH played some good football and, with the help of a couple of early goals, grew in confidence. All the boys contributed to the performance, and if they carry on with the hard work they are putting into their training it should be an enjoyable season.
Goals from Samuel (4),Bradley (3) and Alex (2) helped us to our win and if we had taken a few other chances the victory could have been greater.
Full credit to Upminster for not giving up and again if they had taken their chances their goal tally would have been greater.
I hope we will be able to have a return fixture in the not too distant future where I am sure the game will be a lot closer.
