Club History |
In 1985 John Evans had an idea to form a football team with members from Emmanuel Church. A team was formed of experinced players and young 16 year olds
The club regularly fields a First and a Reserve Team.
"Waiting for Emmanuel Football Club to win trophies during the last 20 years has been a bit like waiting for a bus. nothing comes for ages, and then all of a sudden, 3 turn up.
That's what happened at the end of 2004/05 as we won the Guildford & Woking Alliance Div 2 Runners Up trophy, the League Intermediate Cup, and just to prove you can be competitive and fair, we were also awarded the Sportsmanship Trophy, although not for the first time. That trophy, however, was icing on the cake of our most successful season on the pitch."
In 2005/06 we set up a reserve team to give us the foundation of young players for the future
The future is bright-the future is purple !
