History
06 Sep 2007

Erskine Bridge lost their first ever game by just one goal. Everyone involved that day was so gutted it was like they had just lost the world cup. That was back in August 2004 when they joined the Paisley & District League

That Goal
06 Sep 2007

At the end of season 1, Alan Sheridan scored "That Goal" which he will claim until his death bed was a screamer from his own half. The game was played in the Bishopton tournament against a team from Holland. Big Sherry collected the ball, just inside his own half. He Fired the ball forward and with Kris McGinnis moving out the way it confused the keeper and the ball trickled in......Sheridan still claims it is the greatest goal in Erskine Bridges History

Singin in the rain
06 Sep 2007

In the middle of August in their 2nd season, Little Kevin Murphy introduces signing into the world of football. When the Bridge had a corner against them, or if he just had some free time, he would hit out with some all time classic tunes. Like , WHite Christmas (in the middle of August)

That Training Session
06 Sep 2007

In their first season and probably one of their first ever training sessions, Marc Cairney hits a shot in training from 2 yards which goes well over the bar. It was dubbed as the worst miss ever seen to mankind. Even worse than Van Vossen. Cairney we love you

That Penalty Miss
06 Sep 2007

So Close, yet so far. No Not Scotland, Erskine Bridge. 2-2 against Johnstone in their first ever quarter final the match goes to penalties. With no misses each team it goes to sudden death. Craig Murphy steps up. He places the Ball on the spot.....Tense moment. The game is at inchinnan, the cars are parked a bit away from the goal. Up steps craig and oh......it must be....its hit the RENAULT MEGANE AND ERSKINE BRIDGE ARE OUT. TRAJIC WE MAN. CRAIG COME BACK
