Coppull grabbed the initiative early on and had an unusually disorganised Villa on the back foot for most of the first half, with first Hendy then Bricknell pouncing on a couple of schoolboy errors and showing their opponents how to finish when the opportunity arises.
Mark McDonnell made a couple of changes at half time and the Euxton side looked much better in the second half, with Jamie Evans in particular very effective in trying to redress the damage wrought it the first. Villa had the bulk of the play in the second forty five, but once again the finishing was lacking when it came to converting build-up play to goals.
And it doesn't get any easier when Villa host last year's runners up Wren Rovers Saturday (3.0) followed by Champions Charnock Richard on Tuesday evening (6.30)
