A brief history

Evergreen formed at the beginning of the 2004-20o5 after two years of trying to get into the Downs League.
The idea to form a club came after about six or seven pints of guiness at the robin Cousins sports centre where a fer of us played in the five a side league. With the impending closure of the sports centre we had to do something and go somewhere to have a kick about and a beer so the idea of playing locally was bandied about the leagues five aside players and most of them said no, and thats how we ended up with the bunch of players we have now.
First season was a disaster scene in the league. losing most of our games.However we did have a good cup run reaching a final where we lost in extra time. League didn't finish too bad either we finished about mid table.
Second season was much better got off to fling start beating everybody out of site only to suffer a mid season slump. On the last day of the season we clinched promotion in runners up position but it was close run thing. So two seasons two medals lets see if we can add to that in the forth coming season!
