2oo8 was a good year for us as we did ok in the league and went on a really good and hard cup run. 2009 promises to be even better and we are favourites to get promoted. We are out of the cup but the league is more important. We have had good results and we need to keep this up to put us in line for promotion
David Beckham Academy It was such a brilliant experience for me and the team. It was really good because there was a little museum with signed shirts and special football boots. Also we all got a free t shirt which was really good. The pitches were amazing because they weren't real grass. Afterwards we all got trophies and my team won, Brazil. I received a gold medal for winning. I also got my medal signed by David Beckham's mum. I got to have my picture taken with her which was excellent. I would so love to go again.
Eythorne Rovers Colts v Canterbury Youth
Our game against Canterbury was one we should have won. We had plenty of chances and all the possession, and we should have finished them off early. On the plus side we still scored but it wasn’t enough. I think we played ok but by our high standards we should have beaten them by five or six goals.
Upcoming Events ( The David Beckham Academy 30th Oct )
I am really looking forward to goint to the David Beckham Academy. I might see David Beckham if I’m lucky ( LOL ). It will also be good for us as a team to get to know each other and spend time as a team.

Sam's thoughts on the new season......
Changes.....
"The move from Dover to Eythorne was a good one. The Manager, Lee, thought it was in our best interests and it was. Eythorne have much more sponsorship and plenty more to offer us. Even though we have lost players we have developed as a Team. We have brought in better and stronger players like Sam N and Edwin and we should do well
Expectations.....
"I think it will be a very good season for us. We have just beaten our rivals, which we had never done before. Last year, we did very well in the cup and i think we can go one better and win it this year. We didnt always get on as a team last year but now we have a good team spirit. Daniel was a big bonus when he came back and now we have him along with Sami, Liam, Jack and the rest of the team we are capable of alot. I think we will win the league as we were favourites last year and are much improved in readyness for the new season. I hope i will lead the way to a new era that is Eythorne Colts in victory".
