It all started in May of 1977 as Clark Eaton Boys Football club were on their return from a twinning visit to BVO Opladen in Germany. It was decided to change the club name to FC Bracknell and so it has stayed for over 30 years. We started with 4 teams aged between 11 and 14.
The club has grown over the years with, in some years, as many as 25 teams with ages ranging from 5 years up to 18 and in the 1980s we also ran a Ladies team and 2 Men’s teams. It was in those years that we had our most successful senior team when F.C. Bracknell seniors won their league and promotion in 4 successive seasons and also won the League cup.
The club has had continued success over the years and the number of teams we run has increased steadily over the years due, in a great amount, to the introduction of our soccer school for 5 and 6 year olds in the 1990s.
In recent years we have welcomed the inclusion of girls into our junior teams and our girls teams have had some great seasons. The aim of the club has always been to provide our young members with an excellent quality of guidance and inspiration to play football and to ensure that they all, no matter what standard they play at, enjoy participating.
