Fernie go for 4th straight win in league -
Fernieside will play Currie Star this coming Sunday the 7th December. Out last league game was a 6-1 win against Currie Boys Club, and we will have to play better on the day to get a win on Sunday. We will train hard on Wednesday in preperation.
With a few injuries and illness's flying about the team, this will be a stern test as the boys go and try and win the league.
Kick off is 2pm at Gilmerton park, Sunday 7th December

6 goals today, Niki Robertson, Ryan McKenna, Ryan Murray,Brett Grant, Keith Shields and Luis Ortiz, Currie to thier credit had a cracking midfield today and made it hard for the boys to play any football.
3 points, job done, we move on.
With the Gaffa demanding everything done the correct way, as it is at other big clubs, today, on the playing field, we did well.

Last gasp Gibson sends Fernieside through to Quarter Finals - 16/11/08
Fernieside captured a fantastic 2-1 win against a very strong Dalkeith Whites team. If we are being fair, Dalkieth should have won on the day. But these Fernieside boys believe in each other and fear getting beat.
An outstanding injury time winner from ex Dalkeith striker Ryan Gibson. A 25 yard shot into the top right of the Dalkeith goal. We now enter the Quarter Final of the Hearts Supporters Cup

Dominant Fernieside crash out of cup 2-1 away to Dalmore - 09/11/08
Depending on what touchline you were standing on today, you could say Fernieside were unlucky or unfairly treated. We dominated from start to finish, hit the post, had 2 goals chopped off and missed a last gasp penalty.
The passion these boys showed today against a team from the league above was above and beyond what the Gaffa was looking for.

Fernieside win 7-1 in 1st league game of season - 02/11/08
Niki Robertson and Ryan Burgess were the stars today as Fernieside beat much Fancied Spartans Colts in the league at home. Also on the scoresheet was the much improved Tony Bain and Steven Flett got a screamer from 22 yards.

Fernieside put on the performance of their lives today with a stunning 1-0 win against 1st division Edinburgh City. The only goal of the game coming in the 11th minute of the 1st half from winger Niki Robertson.

After being 3-2 down at half time today, Fernieside were not able to overcome this fantastic Bonnyrigg side.
For an hour of this match we gave the Rose a game.

Hard Work Ahead For Fernieside - 07/08/08
With all pre-season games behind us, Playing 4, winning 4, scoring 32 and losing 3 goals (1 from a penalty) the lads now enter a very important week working with head coach Davie Fridge.
we have 2 training sessions left, Sunday and Tuesday, to get ready for when Hutchison Vale Colts come calling on Sunday 17th August.
Manager Shaun Gibson will be using the coming week to decide what boys deserve a starting 11 place. All the players now have 3 sessions to show the Gaffa they want it.

An outstanding football display today at Wardie for this new look Fernieside under 15's. goals from man of the match Gibson (4) Craig Johnson (2) Wayne Johnson, Roy Tweedie, Keith Shields completed the workout. we hit the bar, post and had an astonishing 32 shots on goal, with Dunedin not getting 1 shot in at Liam Taylor in Fernies goal.

A good solid 4-1 win today away to Star A. goals from Murray (2) Gibson and Robertson. sadly, the game was late in kicking off today, as all the 11 a side goals were vandelised the night before, forcing the game to be played using 7 a side goals. check match reports for more.
