League and Cup Double!

A fantastic transition from 7 aside to 11 aside, with the girls quickly adapting to the new format and settling into their positions. Two fantastically exciting games against Headley Youth are my outstanding memories of the season. Losing the first league fixture 5-2 at their place quickly looked like it could well be a season defining moment as it effectively meant that Fleet would have to win the return fixture by 3 clear goals to force a league title play off or 4 or more to clinch the title. This on the assumption that both ourselves and Headley would win all of our remaining fixtures, which we both did. 1-0 down in the return leg an equaliser just before H/T gave us hope, 20 minutes from time the 2nd went in which then led to the most destructive 20 minutes of football we have played, as the team clicked and run riot as Headley heads dropped to win 6-1.

LEAGUE CUP FINAL
This was a fantastic day for the team in their final appearance. Well organised by the NEHYL on a beautiful sunny day Fleet disappointed in the 1st half to trail 1-0. Despite the half time team talk we went 2-0 down. When our first goal went in the switch switched to 'full on' and 4 further Fleet goals gave a 5-2 victory.

NEHYL Reps Teams
It was fantastic to have 5 girls represent the U13 Rep team Rebekah, Kathryn, Lucy, Hanna and Rebecca and Megan H to represent the U12 team.
Fiona and Ellie also got an opportunity in the U13's last game.
