Fleetwood Gym or formerly Fleetwood Cricket Club have been going for a vast number of years...1st managed by billy hesketh with legendary players such as billy-parry jones kev thompson graham barkworth to name a few....kev thompson took over the reigns a few years ago and brought in some youth that was much badly needed....and to kevs credit he did a great job with some good players and a good bunch of lads....kev enjoyed a couple of division 2 title wins to go with 2 divsion 1 title wins a couple of divisional final apperances and 2 gledhill semi final appearances....and a mid table prem division appearance....last season was a long slug 4 kev with players letting him down with no shows and rubbish excuses...so at the end of the season....seasn slater (me) & paul gregory agreed to take over and get rid of 1 or players and freshen the squad up further with 3 or 4 big name arrivals me being 1 ha ;) and get the club going...with a name change to support the local fleetwood gym soccer section...me and paul are gonna try hard with the players and commitees backing to make sure things are done right and hopfully self fund the club through various events raffles etc etc...big kev will still be down running the line and helping out in various ways along with 1 or 2 others who we are getting involved...but heres to a great and hopfully winning season ahead.....onwards
