Forest AFC are proud members of the Strathclyde Saturday Morning League. We are a Strathclyde-wide club with all players hailing from all areas. Our home park is the newly built John Paul Academy in Summerston. Kick off time is always 10am. We have a blend of youth and experience at the club and are always looking for fresh new players to improve the squad. If you are interested in joining the club please feel free to get in touch.
Awards
In season 91/92 Forest were runners up in the Tommy Marshall cup to Dalmarnock after drawing 3 – 3 after 90 mins then losing 4 – 3 after extra time. In season 92/ 93 Forest finished 2nd in division 2 and therefore gained promotion to the top division alongside Northill. In season 95/96 Forest won the League Cup Final with a 2 – 0 win over Levern. In season 99/00 Forest won the Tommy Marshall cup against Bellgrove which finished 1 – 1 after 90 mins, 2 – 2 after 120 mins then Forest went on to win 4 – 3 on penalties. Currently this is Forest’s 16th year in the top division meaning we are the longest serving team in division 1 of the league after winning promotion in 1993.
