Established originally in 2002, Forest Fate Football Club was formed with a vibrant mix of young and old players. Playing in the East London Sunday league, the team struggled for form at the start of the season. Fortunately the team picked up some momentum and carried this through to the end of the season picking up some respectable results.

After much deliberation the team decided to take a year break in order to plan and build the club for the 2004/2005 season. By 2004 the club had structured itself with a board of directors; an FA qualified coach and gained Chartered Standards (in accordance with the London Football Association guidelines).

The objectives of the club have always been simple:



· Give the local youth some direction and escapism from a potentially problematic environment.

· Give the community a team to support

· To promote Asian Football to the public of Great Britain to ensure that they realize the potential of players of Asian origin.

· To providing players with a suitable platform in which their talents can be assessed, improved and highlighted to the general football community.

For the 2004/2005 season the club decided to enter the Asian Football league, this was important for the club because it was the local Asian youth that the club was being built for. Forest Gate implemented its plan to set up a youth team. The success and local interest far exceeded the clubs expectations. For this reason the club was able to form an under 16`s team and an under 14’s team. This has been the greatest achievement for the club; the club was originally formed to give the local youth some direction and a sense of unity, now we have this we are building further on it.



The first season was very successful, with the adult team finishing in 6th position, and the youth team finishing in 2nd position in their league. The club was defiantly heading in the right direction. At the end of the season the club decided to enter in the Umbro International tournament to give the players the experience of playing against teams of all different backgrounds. The team went to Manchester not expecting to do great but ended the tournament by bringing the cup back to East London.



This was a good starting base for the 2005/2006 season, some of the youth team players were drafted into the adult team. This freshened things up for the adult team and had a positive effect on the football the team played. A long hard season saw Forest Gate take one of the spots for promotion.



The club has taken many positive steps on and off the pitch to becoming an established, strong and competitive football club, representing the community from which it comes. We aim for continuous improvements and success and hope more of the community can help us to achieve our aims, objectives and dreams.



The foundations have been laid and the building has started, lets see what we can achieve together!
