Welcome to the HOMEPAGE of FREEHOLD FOOTBALL CLUB. This website has been made available to help managers, players and supporters obtain any information they may require as regards FREEHOLD FOOTBALL CLUB.
Born out of the demise of Tewitfield F.C., FREEHOLD FOOTBALL CLUB have been in existence since the start of 1993-94 when we were admitted into the North Lancashire Football League. We started out in Division Four and have since gained three promotions in 1995-96, 1998-99 and 2001-02 but unfortunately we have also suffered one relegation in 2004-05 just one year after falling just three points short of gaining a place in the Premier Division. We are currently in Division Two where we hope to mount a serious challenge for promotion to Division One. This season though looks a very good league with four or five sides all in with a shout. However with Phil Morgan as manager, his assistant John Hammond, founder members Kev Davies and Mick Parkinson and player/fitness coach Patrick Rabette on the coaching staff we feel there is no reason why 2008-09 season cannot be a successful one. With players coming in from both the Premier Division and Division One we now feel that we have the quality to achieve our promotion target.
We now play our home matches on Pitch No 2 at King George V Playing Fields, Slyne Road, Lancaster, having previously played at Salt Ayre, Far Moor and Ryelands Park. We also meet before and after each game at the Freeholders Arms Public House, Ullswater Road, Freehold, Lancaster.
After winning promotion to Division 1 in 2008-09 and also after winning the Whiteside Cup it was decided that a reserve team would be formed for the 2009-10 season and an application was submitted to the league. With Sean Morgan being installed as manager with assistants Steve Brown, Sam Gardner and Warren Dunkeld the club was accepted to Division 4 for the 2009-10 term with them taking up residency at Far Moor.
Our objectives now and beyond are for both teams to at least consolidate their positions in their respective leagues with the hope that in the future we can become one of the strongest clubs in the area and hopefully secure a ground that both teams can play at that is more central to our locality.

With both teams now through to the semi finals of their divisional cups, which one do you feel has the better chance of carrying away the silverware should both teams get to their final.
