After the battle of fulford had been finished in 1066,Dave was put in charge of the clear up,having done this he was at a loss as to what to do with the field he had cleared and decided that Football should be played there(initially using the heads of vikings),has since been player,manager,treasurer,kit man,groundsman,secretary and chairman of the club all of which gets him a bottle of whisky every year(lucky boy),Will one day have a statue made in his honour,probably the biggest erection he has had,also has a penchant for naked streaking when he has had one too many guinesses !!!!
