The club was founded in 1922 and the Junior section started in 1938 but really took off in the 1970's.
The club acquired the land in 1981 and the clubhouse opened in 1986.
The original pitch was first played on in 1990, and the two 11-A-Side and two minifootball pitches were ready for use in the 2002-03 season.
Currently, the club runs 17 sides and has three full size pitches and two mini pitches. The club can host up to five matches and the new changing facilities openened in July 2005 allow us to maximise the use of those pitches.
Garden Village has a good track record for developing women and girls football and so the changing and showering facilities are vital if the number of female players is to be extended.
The carpark was resurfaced and lined, a new enclosed patio area created and the grounds landscaped.
In 2008 the old changing facilities within the club were demolished and a new lounge bar was created with improved facilities.
