Gilberdyke Juniors History

Established in September 2003, to provide coaching and competitive football matches for children from 5 years upwards, the club has gone from strength to strength in the intervening years. Currently teams ranging from Under 6's to Under 11's play in the competitive Selby & District Junior Football League on Saturday mornings, with the remaining 11 a-side teams, from Under 12's to Under 16's, playing in the Hull Boys Sunday Football League.

All teams have at least one FA qualified coach in charge of them - with many having more than one - and all coaches are exposed to ongoing training, to help with their developement, with some working towards their FA level 2 status. As you would expect all managers, coaches and officials of the club are CRB cleared for involvement with young people

All home matches are played at the Ings View Sports Field in Gilberdyke where we are proud to enjoy some of the best facilities of any junior club in the area - including home/away changing rooms and a match-day cafe

The club is a current holder of the ERCAS LEVEL 1 Certificate and is also very proud to have been awarded the prestigious FA CHARTER STANDARD CLUB status - the yardstick by which all well administered clubs are measured.
