tuesday saw the visit of carlisle city to gillford park , the match at times was hit by torrential downpours and credit to both sets of players who put up a good entertaining game , gillford were treating this game as a good workout session , it gave manager jimmy mcmurdo a bit of a headache having to keep 20 lads happy , he said after the game ' the result didnt matter it was another game to have a look at all the squad in action , but against local rivals the game at times spilled over into a cup-tie situation , but we have taken positives from the match , and we wish city well for next season '.
