Another superb team dispaly saw the Gladiators move into the Semi Final of the Knock Out Cup with a 3 - 1 victory over FC Huthwaite.

Glapwell started on the front foot and had a lot of early pressure. A good passing move put Jordan Hendley through on goal and his cool finish made it 1 -0. Huthwaite then reminded the Gladiators that they never have it all their own way when these 2 team's meet when they found an equaliser following a goal mouth scramble.

The Glapwell midfield however continued to dominate the centre of the park. It was then over to Chris Butt to restore the Gladiators advantage when he won the ball, carried it forward and unleashed a 20 yard screamer that was only ever going to end up in the back of the net.

The second half was a continuation of the first with Glapwell playing some great flowing football to create a number of chances. A great run and cross by Jordan Hendley found Zak Shaw in the box but his shot was well saved. A Glapwell header rattled the bar following a John Donaldson cross.

Daylight was put between the teams however when Huthwaite couldnt deal with a great Chris Butt corner. The loose ball found John Donaldson on the far post and he capped another great midfield performance by slotting home the loose ball.

Glapwell comfortably closed out the rest of the game and could have added to their tally. The final score however was a 3 - 1 win to the Gladiators.

Once again however credit goes to the whole team from Cameron in goal to the forwards. Well done again from Martin & Stewart.
