This team started life at Castleford Town at under 10's. After an indifferent season the team then went on to win the Charles Rice Trophy Division at U11's. Following personal differences between the team and the committee they decided to split away and join Glasshoughton Welfare Juniors who at that time only had an U14's. The facilities at Glasshoughton are fantastic, the boys can now get showered and changed following their matches instead of going home cold, wet and muddy. The parents cars are much cleaner now.
Glasshoughton Welfare has continued to grow and now boast several more age groups including a girls team.
