Glenrothes Athletic Football Club was formed in June 2008 by Sean Baldwin and David Todd.
We both decided to go alone where we had a great support from parents, where we decided to go for it. The first team was born, the 1997 age group, where all parents assisted financially to get this age group up and running. We were also boosted by the Committee being built round players and all coaches having a son in the team. It was not long when we were joined from players from other teams which was a great boost for the club.
The 1997 age group then expanded again in October where we took on another 2 players who have never played club football and have been playing in games since.

In November 2008, the 2001 age group was decided to move forward. On 1st December 2001, this age group had the first training session where the boys enjoyed it. Mark Allan, the 2001 coach, has done a lot of work to make this happen. This age group has been sponsored and is doing well for training and playing kit, with more in the pipeline.

In 2009 we are looking to achieve Community Club status in conjuction with SYFA and Fife Council.
The Club is also looking to expand in all area including our own facilities for training and games, including a Pavillion with dressing rooms and a cafe....watch this space.
