GMB through to the county cup semi's
GMB stormed through to the semi finals of the county cup this morning after dispatching Newark side Sutton on Trent 4-1
The game reflected the chaos before kick off as the ref never showed up. Roberto Labbate stepped into the breach and confidently took up the reins as the offical. GMB had to play this game at Baford Utd's ground as Birchover was called off yet again.
The confusion before hand had a bearing on both sides as GMB and Sutton played out a poor game.
Within 15 minutes Goal keeper Dino Labbate had to be helped off with what appears to be a hamstring injury, Dino Delfino went between the sticks.
The high points to this game were the goals with Anthony Shannon hitting a brace. His first was al ldown to Nathan Scot as the pacey forward displayed an incredible turn of speed (reminisent to marvel hhero The Flash) running the lenght of the pitch and squaring the ball to him for an easy tap in
Oli Gee got the third in what has now been a run of fifteen games in which he has scored.
Popular Adey Dawkins got the fourth.
GMB now move on to the quarter finals of the league next week
