GOONHAVERN ATHLETIC FC

Welcome to the Goonhavern AFC website, which will hopefully be updated on a daily basis.

We have two teams this season with the the 1st's under the leadership of Player/Manager John Mitchell playing in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Division One West. After a season of struggle the team managed to get 7 points from its last 12 available and end the season on a high. His Assistant/Coach will again be Steve Maynard who has just finished his UEFA Coaching badge.


The second's are last seasons 3rd team and will again be jointly Managed by Darren Carveth & Mike Menhennick and play in the second Division of the One & All Mining league. There is a good crop of youngsters hopefully looking to step up to the 1st team.

We are a small friendly club supported by a very good hard working committee and will always make people who visit most welcome.

We are hoping that this season we will be able to get the foundations in and start work on the new clubhouse and changing rooms which will hopefully put an end to the problems with the cricket club that has blighted this Football club over recent years.
