Great Bentley require a new 1st Team Manager/Coach for season 2008/09.


Applications are required in writing to Clive French (secretary) for an experienced and proven 1st Team Manager and Coach for the season starting 2008/09. After 5 years in the role current manager David Gray has decided that he would like to concentrate more of his time to coaching the Great Bentley Youth Football teams and with his family. In the past 5 years David has been very successful, taking Great Bentley from the lower regions of the Border League Division 2 to 9th in the Premier League last season - which is the highest league position Great Bentley FC has achieved in it's long history.


Great Bentley FC now want's to build on this success and the new manager must be able to demonstrate they have the drive, ambition and a proven track record that they can continue the momentum the club has achieved over the past 5 years. Ideally the new manager will also have qualified coaching skills, or be able to bring to the club somebody with coaching skills. Additionally, the new manager/coach must be able to demonstrate they have clear view of how they want the team play, what they will bring to the club and how they will make a difference. If at all possible it would also be beneficial if the new manager/coach could be available this season to ensure that some transition and continuity is achieved.


Great Bentley FC committee, led by chairman Richard Morton, is passionate about the ongoing success of the club. The club already has an excellent clubhouse and a social set up to rival much larger clubs. At the end of this season the club is also hoping that a successful bid for a Football Foundation Grant will provide new changing room facilities later this year. The club also has a thriving Youth set up and it can already be seen that within the next 2 to 3 years the club will have a conveyer belt of talented young players breaking through.
