With our season over weeks ago we have been arranging friendlies to keep things going and try and give everyone a game who has helped us out in a very difficult period for our club.The hard working management duo who over the past 2 seasons have added several quality players to the club will no doubt be glad to see the season come to an end.Their remit was to bring youngsters into the club and hopefully see them develop and progress into our senior teams regardless of results,with 5 ex players turning out for the ressies today and a further 3 representing our first team these 2 have more than proved their worth to Bentley foootball club .
Today saw New Field Reserves visit the green and from the off we took the game to them .Lacey notched 2 with "new boy" Darren and "honeymoon legs" scoring in a one sided first half.Zini and Ant Clarke stood out for us in the opening period as we totally dominated play.Young Jay Wyatt ,Ash and Chimpy also had impressive games .
The second half with all the changes saw a more disjointed performance from us but further goals were added through Lacey and Coppin.Pleasing to finish with a win and see that we have made some good additions to the team following all the shit that took place earlier when players left for various reasons and results at times were awfull.Jordan Banner,Tom Upston.Ash ,Ant,Adam,Chimpy,Brad,Zini,Russ and Colesys new mate could all be pushing for reserve team football next season.
