Directions
By Car From Southend:
From A127 entering Southend on Prince Avenue.
At the approaching roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A1159. The following roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on the A1159. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit (signposted Shoebury). Staying on the A1159. At the next roundabout take the 2nd roundabout keeping on the A1159. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A13, signposted Shoebury.
Continue on past the Bournes Green service station. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A13. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Poynters Lane (B1017). At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Southend Road (B1017). At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Great Wakering High Street. Half way down on High Street turn left into Little Wakering Hall Lane. Continue on past the allotments on the left and turn into the ground.
By Bus:
Bus Service 4 and 4A run from Chichester Road, Southend (Stop E). On weekdays the number 4 runs at 55minutes past each hour and the number 4A runs at 30minutes past each hour. On Saturdays, the same two services run at the same time past each hour. The journey will take you to Great Wakering Church where you will need to walk back down the high street, turning right into Little Wakering Hall Lane.
By Train:
The nearest station to Great Wakering is Shoeburyness on the C2C (Fenchurch Street) line. Trains can be caught from Southend Central to Shoeburyness where the number 4 or 4A bus can be picked up outside the station to Great Wakering Church. Alternatively a taxi cab can be called from within the station and will cost a few pounds.
