Season 2008 / 2009

A new season a new league, but we had managed to keep the nucleus of the team from the previous season, but had added some new players. The new players were still young but added a some more quality too. It was a mixed season as apart from the top 2 teams everybody was capable of beating each other. After Christmas saw the return of our coach from his leg break and he again brought a couple of players with him to add to the depth and strength of the squad.
We again had a strong middle part to the season with us in 3rd place for most of this time, but fell away towards the end and fixinished 5th.

Season 2007/2008

The club was formed in 2007/2008 as Bar Vin by Leigh Whitbread. Matt James, Angela Kokolaras and Nick Kokolaras. The idea was to provide boys coming out of Youth football a team to play for on a Sunday. We found ourselves a local sponsor in Bar Vin, and this also gave us a watering hole for after games.
For its first season we were put in the bottom league of Bournemoth Division 10 where we did quite well with a new and young team.
During the middle of the year we went on an 11 game unbeaten run which also coincided with our coach breaking his leg. Maybe this shuold tell him to hang his boots up as we won more games without him!!! Anyway we finished the season in 3rd or 4th place and were promoted to Division 7.
