5th June 2010: Having realised that the "I am the manager of a non-famous, non-good football team" line was having little effect on his weekly sh@g-average, The Salmon walked away from The Gaints with the finest record of all Gaints managers in his back-pocket. In stepped club-founder Nick Blake, and as a small crowd gathered around Greenford Town Hall to witness the inauguration, he delivered his now-famous Didn't Know I Wanted It Speech, including the now immortal line: "Not something I even realised I wanted to do until it was there - now I cant wait".
9th April, 2010: The Gaints bring the curtain down on a special, yet mediocre by anyone else's standards, season with a 6-3 friendly victory over rival gang, UB6 United. The Gaints finish 4th in Division 5 with a record of: P18 W8 D4 L6 F48 A29 PTS:28.
It was particularly special to note that The Gaints finished their season with a winning record for the first time, as well as a positive goal difference to boot.
4th October, 2009: Gaints defeat old rivals UB6 United by ten goals to nil, the first time Greenford have ever required the left-hand portion of the scoreboard to be turned over, and ensuring also their biggest ever winning margin.
22nd September, 2009: No, it wasn't just a hallucination as a result of an overdose on isotonic sports drinks, The Gaints really did train with the great Sir Les Ferdinand, who was in turn equally honoured to meet The Gaints' very own Sir John Lestourgeon.
