The Buck Inn

The Buck Inn (01200 441248) is run by Peter and Helen Thomas - they class it as the “village local catering for everyone”. They have an excellent range of genuinely home-cooked meals from Wednesday lunchtime to Sunday evening. The food is complemented by real cask ales that change monthly, and a range of quality wines. There is a small dining room that can be let out at no cost to small parties or large families. There is an excellent games room and an outside garden area for the summer. In winter, a log fire welcomes visitors.

The opening times are:

• Closed Mondays, Tuesday 7pm to 11pm, Wednesday to Sunday 12noon to 12pm;
• Food is served Wednesday to Saturday 12noon-2pm and on Sundays 6:30pm-8:30pm
