Founded in 1973 as Ratby Groby Juniors, later changed to Groby Juniors in 2003 and now recognised as one of the top Junior Football Clubs in Leicestershire.
We achieved FA Charter Status a few years ago and aim to reach the FA Charter Community Status soon.
Our aim is simple, and that is for everyone from the players, managers, parents and everyone else connected with the club to enjoy themselves. Far too often it seems that junior football is taken too seriously. We all like to win, but providing our players can each improve over the season and at the same time enjoy themselves, then we think we are doing our job properly.
Over the years we have produced 3 England players, Emile Heskey, Matt Heath and Tommy Wright as well as Louis Dodds who is currently in Leicester's first team squad.
With the reputation that we have for being a club that teaches it's players to play good, honest football, we feel that we have about got the balance right.
